Safety Breakaway Collar

The Cozy Critter Safety Breakaway Collars are made with a safety breakaway buckle that will break open with minimal force. These collars can not be used with a leash and are generally used solely for the purpose of keeping tags on a dog. Safety collars are also used in households with multiple dogs who like to play and often get caught in each other's collars. These breakaway collars may help avoid an injury while the dogs play.
Safety collars are available in 1/2" and 1" wide.

It is a common concern that these collars break free too easily.

We want to communicate this concern to our customers, as these collars work great for some dogs and not for others. Some dogs can scratch or roll and cause the collar to break free, while others can wear them long term without ever having the collar break free. It is not a product defect if the collar fails to stay on the dog, it is simply not a suitable collar design style for the particular dog. We happily accept exchanges on unworn collars, however if you choose to utilize this style, it cannot be returned due to breaking free too often.

Cozy Critter Custom Dog Collars are made with cotton fabric sewn over polypropylene webbing. Steel welded (nickel finish) d-rings are used on all collars. Breakaway safetly buckles are designed to break free with minimal force. All Cozy Critter products are sewn on an industrial upholstery sewing machine with polyester (92) sun guard thread! All seams are triple-stitched to ensure strength and durability! Collars are machine washable!
